Wedding Films and Wedding Videos are typically used interchangeably, for most their isn’t a difference, but for us here Signature Wedding Films, the idea of a wedding video conjures up memories of a 90+ minute shaky wedding video we were forced to sit at watch as children, where Uncle Bob thrusted his new camera in everyone’s faces and half the time it wasn’t even in focus.

We try and distance ourselves from that style of wedding video and take inspiration from cinema. Videographer, Cinematographer or Filmmaker, call us what you want (just not Uncle Bob) the end result is the same, a beautifully edited wedding film (or video if you prefer) that captures the key moments of your special day and all the emotion that goes along with it. We want to produce something you will genuinely want to watch over and over again, something that will bring back all the emotion of the day, whether it’s a few weeks after your honeymoon or a few years after the kids have flown the nest.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a wedding film and a wedding video?

The difference lies in the style and quality of the production. A traditional wedding video might be lengthy and shaky, capturing events without much artistic intent. In contrast, a wedding film is created with a cinematic approach, focusing on storytelling and emotional engagement, which captures the essence of your special day in a more polished and artistic manner.

Why should we choose a wedding film over a traditional wedding video?

A wedding film offers a refined, emotionally engaging memory of your day, crafted with cinematic techniques. These films are edited to highlight poignant moments, ensuring that each viewing brings back the intense emotions and atmosphere of your wedding day, unlike the more straightforward coverage of traditional videos.

What makes your approach to wedding filmmaking different from other videography services?

Our approach is influenced by cinematic techniques, focusing not just on capturing events, but on telling the unique story of your day in a beautiful, artistic way. We prioritise creating emotionally resonant, high-quality films that capture key moments with a dynamic and engaging narrative.

Can we still have the traditional elements of a wedding video in our wedding film?

Absolutely! While our films are produced with a cinematic style, all key traditional moments, such as vows, speeches, and first dances, are beautifully integrated with a more dynamic and engaging narrative style.

How can we ensure our wedding film remains meaningful and enjoyable to watch years down the line?

By focusing on capturing the emotion and unique details of your day in a timeless manner, our films are designed to be more than just a visual record. They are heartfelt stories that resonate with the feelings of your wedding day, ensuring that even years later, the film will evoke all the joy, tears, and laughter as if it were yesterday.
